Actress Alisha Panwar, last seen in Nath – Krishna Aur Gauri Ki Kahani, reminisces about the cozy winters of her hometown, Shimla. While she misses bundling up in warm clothes and sipping hot chocolate, she has found a unique charm in Mumbai’s mild winters.
“Mumbai Winters Are Like Summers with a Cool Breeze”
Sharing her thoughts on the season, Alisha said, “Mumbai winters are more like summers, just with a cool breeze. Winter is here, but you have to look for it. It’s not the cosy and comfortable winter you imagine, but it has its own charm—like those perfect cold and refreshing mornings that make you feel alive.”
Climate Change and Fading Winters
Reflecting on the changing weather patterns, Alisha added, “It’s weird! It feels like Mumbai winters have been lost somewhere, and summers have come uninvited. It reminds us that climate change is a reality, and we need to take steps to stop it if we want to get back the lovely seasons of our childhood.”
Missing Shimla’s Snow and Cozy Bonfire Nights
Hailing from Shimla, famously known as the Queen of Hills, Alisha cherishes her childhood memories of snowfall and cold nights. “I miss snow because my hometown is Shimla, and I have been seeing snowfall in December since my childhood. Winters are that for me. In Mumbai, I miss it a lot, and also the experience of sitting around a bonfire with my family on those cold nights and listening to my grandfather’s stories.”
She also expressed her longing for hot chocolate and cozy sweaters, saying, “Hot chocolate just tastes different when there’s a chill in the air. Mumbai doesn’t have that cold that forces you to stay under a blanket. Here, you even need the AC during winters.”
Styling Tips for Mumbai Winters
When it comes to dressing for Mumbai’s mild winters, Alisha shared her go-to fashion tips:
“I usually prefer light and breathable fabrics—I love to wear a stylish shrug over a tank top or a light jacket. Or a cardigan with jeans. It’s practical, and you can remove a layer if the sun comes out.”
She further advised, “Always opt for versatile pieces! A scarf or light jacket can instantly make you look winter-ready without overdressing. Add some ankle boots, and you’re good to go—this look is perfect and easy for Mumbai’s unpredictable weather.”
Despite missing the snowy magic of Shimla, Alisha finds a way to embrace and style Mumbai’s breezy winters with grace and charm.
