Fredna Vet Diagnostics, one of India’s leading advanced veterinary diagnostic centre, successfully hosted a 3-day Masterclass and Continuing Education (CE) on Small Animal CT scan in association with the Pet Practitioners Association of Mumbai. The event was held on April 3,4 and 5th April 2026, at Urmi Estate, Lower Parel, Mumbai.

The masterclass focused on the application of CT in small animal practice, covering imaging protocols, patient positioning, and diagnostic strategies across key anatomical regions. Advanced imaging tools like CT, MRI, and ultrasound enable real-time visualization, helping veterinarians detect and treat conditions with precision.

The program featured Prof. Dr. Tiziana Liuti (DVM, PhD, Dipl. ECVDI, Pg. CAP, FHEA, FRSB, FRCVS), a globally renowned expert in veterinary diagnostic imaging and Professor at the University of Edinburgh. Dr. Liuti delivered insightful sessions on advanced imaging techniques, including ultrasound and CT, enriching attendees with global perspectives and practical knowledge.

In recent years, CT has transformed animal healthcare by enabling precise diagnosis, treatment planning, and recovery monitoring. Despite these advancements, India lacked a dedicated platform for veterinary imaging professionals. Addressing this gap, Fredna Vet Diagnostics launched The Veterinary Imaging Bulletin of India as a platform for collaboration, learning, and professional growth.

During this Educational event, Fredna Vet Diagnostics also unveiled India’s first dedicated veterinary publication’s second issue.

The Veterinary Imaging Bulletin of India, a pioneering initiative focused exclusively on imaging. This maiden venture marks a significant step toward establishing veterinary radiology and imaging as a distinct and specialized discipline in the country launched on January 04,2026.

To establish a national platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and case-based learning among veterinary imaging professionals. The bulletin invites contributions from across India, including challenging case studies, imaging experiences, and short academic notes relevant to veterinary diagnostics.

With rapid technological advancements in veterinary medicine, initiatives such as this bulletin, along with seminars and educational campaigns, will play a vital role in driving adoption and ensuring more precise, evidence-based animal healthcare in the future.
