Mumbai: In a fresh, engaging, and culturally rooted initiative to promote road safety during the festive season, Approach Bollywood has joined hands with Go Spiritual to launch a unique digital awareness campaign titled “Aaj Mere Paas Gadi Hai” against drunk driving. Timed strategically for New Year’s Eve—one of the most accident-prone nights of the year—the campaign uses Bollywood’s iconic dialogues to deliver a strong, life-saving message with humor, wit, and emotional resonance.

Approach Bollywood, India’s leading Bollywood and entertainment newswire and mobile app, collaborated with Go Spiritual, an organization dedicated to spirituality, mental health, holistic wellness, and social responsibility, to create a campaign that feels familiar yet impactful. By tapping into timeless Bollywood moments that generations instantly recognize, the initiative makes the message of responsible driving relatable, memorable, and highly shareable across digital platforms.

Bollywood Dialogues Reimagined for a Social Cause

At the heart of the campaign lies a clever reimagining of legendary Bollywood dialogues. Drawing inspiration from the cult classic Deewaar, where the character famously proclaims, “Aaj mere paas gaadi hai, bangla hai, bank balance hai,” the campaign adds a meaningful twist: “Even then, I don’t drink and drive.” The message subtly but powerfully underlines that true success and pride come from making responsible choices that protect lives.

The campaign also incorporates the authoritative warning from Kanoon—“Kanoon ke haath bahut lambe hote hain”—to remind audiences that the law ultimately catches up with those who endanger lives by driving under the influence. This dialogue reinforces accountability while maintaining the familiar tone of Bollywood storytelling.

Adding a lighter yet pointed touch, the initiative nods to an iconic Sholay moment where Veeru warns Basanti, “Don’t dance in front of these dogs.” In a contemporary reinterpretation, it becomes: “Don’t drink, drive, or create a scene,” urging people to celebrate responsibly without chaos or danger.

Spreading Awareness Through Culture and Creativity

The “Aaj Mere Paas Gadi Hai” campaign will run actively across social media platforms through January 1, 2026. By leveraging Bollywood’s unmatched cultural influence, the initiative aims to spark conversations, shift mindsets, and encourage safer choices during celebrations. Its blend of entertainment and social responsibility ensures that the message does not feel preachy, but rather engaging and emotionally connected.

Sonu Tyagi: The Creative Mind Behind the Initiative

The campaign is conceptualized by Sonu Tyagi, Founder and Director of the Approach Entertainment Group. An award-winning writer, director, and producer, Sonu brings together expertise in psychology, advertising management, journalism, and filmmaking. With prior experience at leading advertising agencies and media houses, he is known for blending cinematic storytelling with social impact and spiritual values.

Sonu has co-produced the acclaimed spiritual web series Two Great Masters, is currently co-producing the international feature film Liberation, and serves as Creative Producer on the upcoming Hindi satirical comedy Camp Decent, featuring Brijendra Kala, Rajpal Yadav, Sara Khan, and Hemant Pandey.

Sharing his thoughts, Sonu Tyagi said, “New Year’s Eve should be a night of happiness, hope, and new beginnings—never tragedy. By weaving Bollywood’s magic into this vital social message, we want responsibility to feel natural, joyful, and cool. True celebration comes from caring for ourselves, for others, and for the roads we share.”
