The company confirmed that it does not manufacture, market, or sell any product under this name.

The matter surfaced after multiple customers visited Bombay Dyeing’s two authorised showrooms in Calicut to verify pricing. Store staff quickly identified the products as fake, highlighting several red flags:

• Unauthorized use of the Bombay Dyeing name and logo

• Missing official hologram sticker

• Inferior fabric quality

• No matching product in the company’s official catalogue

• Misleading counterfeit packaging

Showroom representatives also educated customers on verifying authenticity using the genuine QR-coded hologram found on all original products.

Bombay Dyeing has begun tracing the source of the counterfeit distribution and identifying those involved.
