New Delhi, 12 July 2025: The landmark 10th edition of the India Machine Tools Show, one of the largest and most influential platforms for the capital goods and manufacturing sectors in the country, got underway in New Delhi on Friday.

The biennial event is taking place from July 11 to 14, the event showcases cutting-edge innovations in machine tools, automation and engineering technologies from India and abroad. While machine tools and automation are the focus, a wide range of industrial products essential to the shop floor are also covered. It has more than 300 exhibitors from 14 countries, over 2,500 advanced industrial products, and an expected footfall of more than 50,000 business visitors from 25+ countries.

The show is Organised by K and D Communication and supported by leading trade bodies including the Laser Industries Association of India, Ludhiana Machine Tools Manufacturers Association, and Machine Tool Manufacturers Association Rajkot, and features strong international participation from Germany, Japan, UK, US, Italy, France, Netherlands, China, Taiwan, Korea, UAE and Turkey, among others.

Speaking at the inauguration, Amit Mistry, General Manager K and D Communication, said, “The India Machine Tools Show has become one of the biggest exhibitions of machine tools and automation and engineering machinery in the country. The machine tools industry is integral to India emerging as a global manufacturing hub. The milestone 10th edition of the show demonstrates the competitiveness of Indian manufacturing and is poised to be a catalyst for innovation, growth and collaboration. The previous edition of the show generated estimated business of Rs. 1,295 crores, and we are confident this edition will catalyse even higher business.”

India ranks among the top 10 machine tool producers globally. The country’s machine tools sector is currently valued at over $2.4 billion and is projected to reach $4 billion by 2030, exhibiting a growth of more than 10%. A major driver of the machine tool industry is the automotive industry, projected to become the third largest in the world and contribute 12% to India’s GDP by 2025. The growth of the machine tools sector will also be driven by increasing demand from aerospace, defence, electronics, and precision engineering.

Key product categories on display include cutting and forming machine tools, robotics & automation, additive manufacturing, laser machinery, welding equipment, industrial safety gear, hydraulics & pneumatics, testing instruments, casting & forging components, and more.

Special focus areas of this year’s show include laser & welding technology, castings & foundries, and brass parts, along with exclusive zones dedicated to robotics, automation and metrology.

Complementing the exhibition are a series of high-impact supporting programmes such as vendor development meets, buyer-seller interactions, and technology seminars.

The show is being held for the first time at the newly inaugurated Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, a world-class infrastructure project developed by the Government of India to symbolise the country’s progress.

The India Machine Tools Show has evolved into a benchmark event in the industrial calendar. The previous nine editions have attracted more than 2,000 exhibitors and over 3,00,000 visitors. The growing stature of the show has consistently opened up fresh opportunities for business development and export partnerships.
